HyperChem for Mac

HyperChem for Mac B.1 is designed for the PowerPC processor that Apple traditionally used. The supported machines include Mac mini, iMac, iBook, PowerBook, and PowerMac. Unfortunately the G5 machine is not supported due to the fact HyperChem is 32-bit and is not compatible with the 64-bit G5.

Gaussian Interface for HyperChem

"Gaussian Interface for HyperChem" is a powerful interface that can automatically prepare Gaussian input files from a molecule system constructed within HyperChem. Additionally it can transfer the results from Gaussian to display them graphically in the HyperChem workspace.

Since HyperChem carries a Z-matrix interface for Mopac5, 6, and 7 by default, jobs from these programmes can be run in Gaussian using HyperChem via Gaussian Interface. There is no need to make conversions to the corresponding internal coordinate file.

If Q-Chem for Windows, MOPAC2000 and the Mopac Interface for HyperChem are available then the HyperChem - Gaussian - Mopac - Q-Chem compatibility becomes possible on the HyperChem graphical user interface, thus giving a single, powerful computational chemistry environment.
