BluePort II Serial AdaptorBluePort II is the world's smallest, lightest and most capable Class 1 Bluetooth serial adapter. BluePort II enables wireless connections to any legacy serial port and supports bi-directional RS-232 signaling at a rate of up to 232.4Kbps. Just attach BluePort II to your device's RS232/EIA232 port, plug it in, and you're connected. The transmit range can be up to 330' (100m), depending upon environmental considerations.
BluePort XPBluePort II XP is capable of being powered by a battery pack and will use 40ma of power when connected and only 1ma of power when in standby. BluePort II XP can also have an external antenna connected for increased range capability via an SMA jack option. BluePort II uses the standard Bluetooth Serial Port profile and is compatible with all clients running under Windows™, PalmOS™, PocketPC™, and other platforms. There are three ways to utilize BluePort II's capabilities:1. Direct to a Bluetooth client: the client creates a SPP connection to the unit and uses a virtual COM style interface. Data is sent and received on the client exactly as if a serial cable was connected to a real COM port on the client. 2. Access point mode, BluePort II connects via Bluetooth into a BlueLine access point, which can then be accessed from any client over a LAN or the Internet. The Blueport II serial port appears as a telnet port on BlueLine and network applications can open up a socket interface to the port. Product Sheet download by clicking here |
